About

Photography for me is just to have a good chance to distract from all everyday occurrences. Sometimes it can yield some money, but it’s not end in itself for me.
I like both indoors and outdoors photography. Landscape or portrait, day or night - no matter. The only thing is realy important - is vision…

    I’m trying to learn lighting and right now I’m strobing my flash thru an umbrella outside and it always comes out too light. If I lower the flash power, my shadows overpower and if I meter for the background and knock it down a couple of stops, I get a washed out face with no detail or shadows.

    Your lighting is incredible. Would you have tips to share?

    Hello, Christian. I didn’t use any artificial lighting in this scene :) If you want to correct lighting without lowing flash power, try to change aperture number, but do not change exposure. And use ISO 100 or lower. Also using softboxes may help in your situation. Maybe you need another one lightsource?
